Obituary for Eva Marie Johnson (Weatherbee)

Eva Marie  Johnson (Weatherbee)
Johnson, Eva Marie – 78, Truro went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2012 with her beloved husband Harry at her side at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Ada (Dartt) Weatherbee. Eva was beautiful, loving and kind. Family always came first. She was a true servant, always cared for others, was patient and kind. She could be found in her garden, greenhouse or in the kitchen. Eva appreciated the simple and beautiful things in life and always shared them with others. She welcomed her grandchildren with open arms and they always felt wanted. She freely gave of herself and her time. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry, East Mountain; sons, Dwane (Valerie), Prescott, Garfield (Bev), all of East Mountain, Kevin (Annemarie), Dartmouth; sister, Beatrice (Gary) Hingley; brothers, Leland, Cecil (Lillian), Ross (Linda), Raymond (Mary); grandchildren, Danielle, Melina, Kristina, Samuel, Lacy, Simeon, Jonah, Sarah; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Zelda Harvey; brother, Ivan. Special thanks to Sue Scott for her compassionate care for Eva over the past two years. Also thanks to the east wing staff at Wynn Park Villa for their exceptional care. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 22 from 6-8 pm; funeral service on Friday, November 23 at 1:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Denn Guptill officiating. Interment in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
