Johnson, Ivan M. “Pete” – 82 of Londonderry passed away on March 2, 2015 at the Mira. He is survived by wife, Bertha; daughters, Jocelyn, Cindy, Piper, Laura, Andrea, Sheilagh; son, Peter; brother, Alden. He was predeceased by daughter, Christine; mother, Alice; father, Melville; sisters, Lillian, Katherine, Alice Mona; brothers, Ron, Morris, Arthur, Gerald and Eugene. Pete was instrumental in purchasing the former Londonderry School for the community “Acadia Mines”. He was a past member of Londonderry’s I.O.O.F and Rebekah Lodges, a volunteer fireman and also served as a fire commissioner. He also ran “Pete’s Place” in Great Village, was a licensed electrician and auctioneer, a Colchester County Councillor for District 10 and was an active member of the former Londonderry Athletic Association. There will be no service or visitation by request. Donations in his memory may be made to Hillcrest Cemetery, Londonderry. Arrangements entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro.
