Hardy, Ashton A. “Peter” – age 77, Bridgewater and formerly of Truro passed away September 27, 2015 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgetown, he was a son of the late Catherine and John Hardy. Peter was employed with the R.C.A.F. from January 1955 – July 1977; then with Northern Telecom from April 1975-July 1977 and worked with the R.C.M.P. from July 1977 – April 1993. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Forbes; daughter, Susan Crawford, Kansas City, Missouri; stepdaughters, Wendy LeBlanc, Truro, Heather (Kevin) Rhodenizer, Lunenburg, Beverly (Philip) Eisenhauer, Riverport; stepson, Thomas (Lisa) Forbes, Colorado Springs; nine grandchildren and spouses and great-grandchildren who brought great joy to Poppy’s life; brother, Jack (Margo) Hardy, NS; brother-in-law, Bill (Joan), Ont.; sisters, Eva LaLonde, Berwick; sisters-in-law, Stella (Aubrey), Florida; Audrey Hardy, Locharbour, NS. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, James Hardy; sisters, Margaret and Catherine and his first wife, the former Jean Wentworth. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3 from 1 pm until time of the Funeral Service at 2 pm all in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev.
