Obituary for Donald "Don" Linkletter

Donald  "Don"  Linkletter
Donald Alan Linkletter – 64, Truro/Musquodoboit Harbour, passed away April 15, 2017 in QEII Halifax Infirmary. Don was involved and worked his entire life in the trucking industry. He worked with Commercial Safety Surveys as a driving instructor as well as with Midland Transport for 18 accident free years. Don also worked with MacKay’s Volvo in sales and most recently, as manager of East Coast International-Truro. He will be missed by all who knew him. Don leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Anita; sons, Ron and Chris (Irene); grandson, Jonas, step grandsons, Nic and Tom (Kennedy) Elliott, step great grandson, Bill Elliott; brothers, Maurice (Nancy), Arthur (Nancy); sister, Jennifer (Charles) Brunet; sisters in law, Dianne (Donnie) Arenburg, Teresa Bowser, Joanne Cook; nine nieces and nephews; several second cousins as well as several cousins in Holland. He was predeceased by parents, Maurice and Johanna (Bourgonje) Linkletter. The family welcome friends to a Graveside Service which will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 2pm in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. A Reception and Time of Remembrance will follow at the family home, 246 Middle Road, Debert. If so desired, donations in Don’s memory may be made to the Colchester Community Workshops Foundation (168 Arthur Street, Truro, NS B2N 1Y4). Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
