Eileen Louise Dunn – Lower Truro
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Eileen Louise Dunn (née Yorke), age 91 on Tuesday May 16, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Angus and Ethel Yorke. Born in Oxford, Eileen was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Paul Hector Dunn in 2011. She will be dearly missed by her four children, Sharon Cooper, Heather Croft (Ronnie), Greg, and Paul (Velma). She will also be fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren, Debbie Guidry (Brian), Michael Cooper (Karen), Sandra Bonyun (Mike), Heather Mosher (Josh), Denise Gill (Mark), Darren Croft (Marsha), Bryan Dunn (Margaret), Taylor (Lissa) and by her five great grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Riley, Logan, and Hunter. She is also survived by sisters, Myra MacLean (Art) BC, Greta Young (Allister), Truro and brothers, Donald Yorke, West River, Bardon (Adele), Ontario and sister in law, Laura-Jean Yorke, Chester. Eileen was predeceased by her sisters, Merle MacArthur and Alta Macrae; brothers, Harry and Jimmy Yorke; sister in law, Verna Yorke; brothers in law, Malcolm MacArthur, William Macrae, and Charles MacLean. In addition, she was predeceased by two sons in law, Ron Cooper and Art Fraser. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19 from 1pm until time of Celebration of Life Service at 2pm both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, Keith Selwyn-Smith, DLM officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will take place in Bible Hill Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
