Obituary for Royce Bird

Royce  Bird
Royce Aubrey Bird – 59, Londonderry, went home to be with his Lord and Savior in the morning hours of July 20, 2017 and is now at peace in Heaven. Royce worked for many years with Casey Concrete, Neistone Chemicals and Ritchie Brothers in Debert. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Great Village. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Beverley (Keeping); son, Mark Henry Bird (Ashley MacLeod), CFB Greenwood; grandchildren, Evelyn Jayne, Myles Henry, Aubrey Rhys; sister, Linda Slack, Debert; brothers, James (Marion) Bird, Great Village, Bryne (Esther) Bird, Londonderry; nephew, Scott Bird (Belinda) and their children, Dawson and Marcus; niece, Cora Lee Bird (Lucy Drew); many uncles, aunts, cousins and church family. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Henry Bird and Eveleen (Alexander) Bird; brother, Russell Bird; brother in law, Leeman Slack. The family wish to thank the VON, Palliative Care, Hospice Society as well as Dr. Don Rowe, Dr. Henderson, Dr. Aries, Ann McKim and Angela MacDonell for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, July 24 from 6-8pm with Memorial Service on Tuesday, July 25 at 2pm both in Faith Baptist Church, 38 Station Rd., Great Village, with Pastor Steve Adams officiating. Reception will follow. Donations in Royce's memory may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, Palliative Care (CEHHC) or to the Colchester East Hants Hospice Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
