Obituary for Audrey McCabe

Audrey Elaine McCabe (Spicer) – 79, Truro, passed away on December 28, 2017 in Sydney. Born in Berwick, September 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Emily (Faulkenham) Spicer.

Audrey worked as an X-Ray technologist until the birth of her son, Bradley. She was active in Truro community affairs including the Truro Arts Society and the Colchester Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Zion United Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cruising to exotic places and dancing.

She is survived by sister, Joan MacDonald; brother, Brian Spicer; cousin, Joyce Simard and many other relatives.

She was predeceased by husband, Bruce; son, Bradley; brothers, Donald (in infancy) and Eric.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 26 with Pastor Brian O. Johnston officiating.

Visitation and reception will follow until 4 p.m. both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society (Maritime Region) or to the charity of your choice.
