ANNE MARIE BEAZLEY
It is with deepest sadness that we share the news of our Mom’s passing, at the age of 86 on February 2, 2018 in Truro, Nova Scotia.
Born April 1, 1931 the only daughter of the late Alice and Ralph Huskins of Woods Harbour, Shelburne County.
Mom moved to Halifax to work for Maritime Tel & Tel where she met her husband Gerald. Together they built their home in White’s Lake where they raised their 3 children. Anne retired from Dalhousie University in 1992 after 25 years’ service and retired in River John, Pictou County.
During Mom’s retirement she enjoyed country living, spending many hours making preserves, working in her gardens, making crafts and travelling with Alma and Don.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Gerald Beazley and her spirit is carried on by their 3 children, Larry (Susan); Ken (Susan); Alma (Don)
5 grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley), Keith (Melissa), Amanda (Taylor), Michael (Ashley), Emily
4 great grandchildren, Ryan’s children Gabrielle, Max; Michael’s children Victoria, Daniella
3 surviving siblings and an extended family of relation and friends
Thank you goes out to the extraordinary staff at The Mira for their care given to Mom along with a special thank you to George Heighton, Mary Forsythe and Robert Schnell, for their unending friendship to both our parents over the years…
At mom’s request cremation has taken place. A celebration of our Mom’s life with her family will take place at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro on Wednesday 21st March from 4 pm to 8 pm.
