GLOADE, Thomas L. – 88, Millbrook. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Tom on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care Facility in Truro. Tom was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook. At the age of 13 Tom went to work at Halliday’s in Truro before he began his career in Boston and then with Ironworkers Local 752, until he retired. Tom loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his beloved horses. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Irene and his brother Stevie. He is survived by his children, Tommy (Trish), Mike, Stepheanie of Millbrook; Lynn Ann (Bill) of Halifax; Jamie of Potlotek; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; godchildren Michelle and Carley; brother Gordie; sisters Mary, Theresa and Muriel; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6- 8 p.m., Thursday, February 8th at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m., Friday, February 9th at Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook, Father Cristinel Fartadi officiating. Interment to take place in the Spring.
