Totten, Ruth Elizabeth, 72, Debert, died peacefully on February 27, 2018 surrounded by her family. Ruth was born June 26, 1945 in Truro, the daughter of the late Frank and Ida Taylor.

Ruth thoroughly enjoyed gardening and was a founding member of the Debert Garden Club. She had many other creative hobbies such as cake decorating, ceramics and knitting. Ruth was a member of the Debert Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, helping to organize family picnics, BBQ’s and bonfires. Ruth took pleasure in going for drives to Debert Mountain and day trips with her husband Ted.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Ted Totten, three children, Jeff and Tom Totten and Tracy Mercer as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, several siblings and one grandson.

Ruth will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
