Obituary for Thomas "Wayne" Clews

Thomas “Wayne” Clews – 77, Hilden, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at home, surrounded by family.

Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Thomas and Florence (Williams-Smith) Clews.

Wayne was a volunteer member in the Brookfield and Truro Fire Departments for several years. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro. In his younger years he was a Police Constable in Marysville, NB. Wayne was a carpenter of all trades. In his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of forty years, Marolyn; children, Shelly Clews (Rod DeViller), Truro, Linda (David) Crockett, NB, Thomas “Greg” Clews (Patti), NB; Charlene Lucas, NB; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister, Donna (George) MacNeil, Onslow Mountain. Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Fred Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 4
with funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 5 with Rev. Paul Worden officiating, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.

Interment in Robie Street Cemetery at a later date.
