Shirley  Jamieson
Shirley Berton Jamieson - 96, Truro, passed away peacefully March 5, 2018 in Wynn Park Villa, Truro.

Born in Wallace, he was the son of the late Berton Lee and Lucy (MacDonald) Jamieson. Shirley was a member of the RCL Branch 26, Truro. In his early years, he worked for CNR in Truro and later joined the Canadian Army and served overseas in England. He then returned to work in Truro with CNR until his retirement. Shirley and his wife were “snowbirds” and had the opportunity of spending over 20 winters in Florida.

He is survived by step daughter, Karren Stead, British Columbia; son in law, John Reid, Truro; daughter in law, Linda James, Yarmouth; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Shirley was predeceased by wife, Anna Patricia (MacKenzie) James Jamieson; step daughter, Marilyn; step son, Donald; sister, Pearl Carroll; brother in law, Wendell Carroll.

Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A Masonic Service will be held at 1:45pm followed by Legion Tribute Service and Memorial Service on Friday, March 9th at 2pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, Rev. John Parsons, officiating. Reception to follow. Interment at a later date in Fox Harbour Cemetery, North Wallace. If so desired, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro or to Diabetes Canada.
