Obituary for Ronald "Ron" Brenton

Ronald "Ron"  Brenton
Ronald Carlton Brenton – 60, Princeport, Colchester Co. It is with great sadness that the Brenton family announces the passing of Ron Brenton which occurred peacefully in the morning hours of Friday, July 20, 2018 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of Colin and Hazel (Semple) Brenton. Ron was a lifelong truck driver being employed most recently with Midland Transport. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who above all else, cherished his family and the joy that they brought to him. Ron was always up for a game of golf, time with his horses, boats, but most of all, a good laugh. Along with his parents, He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 40 years, Nancy (Langille); daughters, Michelle Brenton (Matt MacDonald), Masstown, Amanda Brenton (Christian Thompson), Quispamsis, N.B., Kaitlyn (Nathan) Blezius, Niagara Falls, Ont.; grandchildren, Maddison, Aiden, Avery, Marshall, Eli; brother, Jeff (Donna) Brenton, Halifax; nephew, Connor Brenton.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A Graveside Committal Service will be held Tuesday, July 24 at 2pm in Old Barns Cemetery, Hwy. 236, Old Barns. Reception and Gathering to follow in Old Barns United Church Hall. If so desired, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Colchester Food Bank, Maggie’s Place or charity of one’s choice.
