I knew Veronica from years past, playing soccer in Truro, and hockey in Brookfield. She always had a smile that would light up a room or dressing room and her infectious laugh would bring a smile to your face no matter how your day was going.
I remember the last time I spoke to Veronica telling her I'd met a nurse in the OR at the hospital and I said to the nurse "I've got a stupid question, are you related to Veronica McMillan from Truro because you look exactly like her?" and she said "Yes we are sister's we get that all the time."
Veronica laughed that laugh when I told her about my experience, "Yes" she said "that's my sister."
