I had the opportunity and pleasure to work alongside Helene on the Clean Seas volunteer committee that provided training workshops for cleaning oiled wildlife. She was always a dedicated and professional colleague. She will be missed.
This is a great loss for the wildlife and people of Nova Scotia. Among others Helen's influence encouraged me to switch to copper shot and not use lead when fishing. I heard her speak passionately on different occasions and felt her love for what she did . What large shoes to fill. Keep up the great work Helen did staff at CWRC.
We never met in person, but I wish we had. I shared your love of birds, Blue Rodeo and loved your sense of humour. I feel so sad to think you are gone. Sincdere condolences to everyone who loved her. RIP
Helene was a kind, wonderful, and extremely intelligent cousin, she had a heart of gold. I am saddened I never had a chance to say goodbye:( RIP cousin Helene....:
