Obituary for Patrick "Pat" McManus
Patrick Joseph McManus – 82, Upper Onslow, passed away peacefully September 1, 2018. Born on September 27, 1935, he was the son of the late Patrick and Eva (Nelson) McManus.
Pat leaves behind his children, Eva (Michael) Fortune, Brookfield, Twila (André) Guay, Rougemont, QC., Ruth Murphy, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Joey (Roxanne) McManus, Truro, Effie (James) Linkletter, Hilden, Beth (Garth) Lunn, Debert.
Besides his parents, Pat was predeceased by his wife, Audrey (Jackson); daughter, Bertha.
A special thank you to all who helped in any way to honour Pat’s wishes to remain at home. In particular, we would like to thank the VON Palliative Care team, the Colchester East Hants Hospice Society and granddaughter, Rachel.
In keeping with his wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 28 at 2pm in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro, with Mr. Cory Lunn officiating. If so desired, donations may be made to the Colchester East Hants Hospice Society, Palliative Care (CEHHC) or charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Online messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting: www.ColchesterCommunity.com
