Obituary for Ann Marie MacKenzie (MacDonald)

Ann Marie  MacKenzie (MacDonald)
Ann Marie MacKenzie – 69, Valley, N.S., passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by her family.

Born in Chatham, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Albert Joseph and Mary Josephine (Lahey) MacDonald.

Ann Marie enjoyed country line dancing as well as spending time with her friends, but most of all with her family. She was a member of the Newcomers Club of Truro and will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Ann Marie is survived by her husband, William “Bill”; daughters, Sherri (Neil), Middle Sackville, Kari Ann, Valley; grandchildren; Austin, Rylan, Hayden, Brinley and Chloe; sisters, Roberta MacKinley, Chatham, N.B., Teresa Ashwell, Courtenay, B.C., Agnes LeCoure (Clyde), Nine Mile River; brothers, Jerry MacDonald (Brenda), Stellarton, Paul MacDonald, Miramichi, N.B.; David MacDonald (Patty), Nappan, N.B., Dale MacDonald (Marilyn), Chatham, N.B.; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the CEHHC especially nurse, Denise for her kindness and compassion.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 17 at 2pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating. Reception will follow. Interment at a later date in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Chatham N.B. Donations in Ann Marie’s memory may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital.
