Franklyn  Fulton
Fulton, Franklyn Grant, 80 – Otter Brook, passed away suddenly at his home on October 16, 2018. Born in Musquodoboit, he was the son of the late John and Martha (Cox) Fulton. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marion (Higgins); daughter, Marla MacKay, Otter Brook; son, Jeff (Angie), Otter Brook; grandchildren, Carl, Hayley, Owen and John. Franklyn is also survived by his sister, Mary Trenholm; nephew, Steven Trenholm; nieces, Lisa (Mike) Davies and Leanne (Anthony) Cressman. A passionate fiddle player, Franklyn entertained hundreds of people throughout his lifetime. He played with several bands, notably The Elm Valley Four, The Bible Hill Swingsters and for the past twenty-five years, he was a member of The Good Times Senior Citizen Band every Tuesday at the Truro Legion. A hard working farmer for most of his life, Franklyn conveyed compassion and humane treatment for all animals. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20th from 7-9 p.m. with funeral service on Sunday, October 21st at 2p.m. both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
