Obituary for Muriel Spencer (Robinson)

Spencer, Muriel May (Robinson) – 97, Great Village. It is with saddened hearts that the family of Muriel May Spencer announce her passing on November 7, 2018 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Muriel was born in East Village, N.S. to the late Olie and Elsie (Roblee) Robinson. She is survived by her children, Lyle (Pat), Great Village, Dennis (Winnie), Londonderry, Wayne (Joyce), Great Village, Darrell (Cathy), Dartmouth, Elmer (Linda), Hammonds Plains, Ruth (Jim) Bower, Hammonds Plains, Randy, Great Village, Lynn McMasters (Jim), Great Village; many well-loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Muriel is also survived by her brother, Ernest (Gerene), Canning, sister, Laura, Debert and sister-in-law, Margery Gingras, Estevan, S.K. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; brothers, Whitman and Aubrey; sisters, Jean and Louise; son-in-law, Brian and two grandsons in infancy. Muriel had a love of gardening and would also busy herself by knitting, baking and making her famous fudge. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, N.S. with Rev. Dan Gunn officiating. Reception to follow with interment in Mahon Cemetery, Great Village. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to Mahon Cemetery.
