Obituary for Francis "Frank" Healey

Francis "Frank" Healey
Healey, Francis L. – 85, Truro. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank on June 9, 2019 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born October 10, 1933, he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ethel; children, Bernadette (David), Bernadine (Paul), Dan, Ron (Julie), Frank, Ken, Keith (Anne) and Cory (Marimar); 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Adrian (Theresa), Anthony (Maureen) and sister, Betty, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant son, Randy; parents, Peter and Mary; sisters, Madonna and Theresa as well as brother, Michael. As he aged, Frank taught us how to grow old with dignity, humour and kindness. He faced his final challenge with courage and with joy in the promise of what lies ahead. Dad was a busy man, a life-long member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a man always in motion but never too busy to share a story, joke and love life with those around him. He will be greatly missed by all but will now remain “Tickety Boo” forever. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13th from 6 – 8 p.m. with prayers at 7:45pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 14th at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince St., Truro with Father Cristinel Fartadi officiating. Reception will follow in Campbell Hall. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Robie St., Truro. Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
