Obituary for Margaret Keddy (Griffin)

Keddy, Margaret Alice – 90, Truro, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 in Orchard Court, Kentville.

Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Smith) Griffin of New Glasgow.

She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church and a member and past Matron of Myrtle Chapter #21 Order of the Eastern Star, Truro. A past Grand Officer of the Order and Sr. Representative to the State of Ohio, U.S.A. She and her late husband travelled extensively and shared many happy memories together.
Her family provided her with countless pleasant memories.

She is survived by her son, Wayne (Joni), Christian Lake, BC; brother, Patrick, Millhouse, BC; niece, Patricia; nephew, Shawn, BC, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Theodore (Bub) and brother, Charles.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 9th from 2 - 4 p.m. with an Order of Eastern Star Tribute beginning at 2p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.

A visitation will also take place on Friday, January 10th from 1 – 2 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. both in St. Augustine of Hippo Anglican Church, 1587 Forties Rd, New Ross, N.S., B0J 2M0 with the Rev. Laura McCue officiating.

Reception to follow in Forties Community Centre, 1787 Forties Rd, New Ross, NS, B0J 2M0. Family flowers only.

Donations may be made to the St. Augustine of Hippo Anglican Church Cemetery Fund or Canadian Cancer Society.
