Condolence From: Henry & Sandra McInnis
Condolence: Our sincere condolences to the Rutherford Family on the sad news of Chet's passing-he was a great guy-I had many talks with Chet when I drove mail truck at the post office during the 70's & in later years Sandra & I would usually meet him while on our daily walks, usually somewhere on Prince Street-we would always stop & talk some sports, what new was going on around town, how various people were doing, & always share a couple of laughs-Sandra used to see Chet at the bowling alley on Tuesdays, he bowled out front & she outback in their respective leagues-We have not seen him for quite awhile & Gary had told me that he was not walking anymore-he will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate to know him-hope to see you down the road Chet although I suspect there will be a sign on your door, "Gone Fishing"-Henry & Sandra

Condolence From: chet rutherford
Condolence: Rutherford family- susan I have known Chet all my life. I have all kinds of vivid memories of Chet. He talked to me about my three boys. He cried with me when I lost Claire and Andrew. Chet came to know Andrew in Florida.Chet and I had many conversations about the close connection the Cullen family and the Rutherford family had in the early years. Of their "gang" I guess Edie Bartlett is the last one left. Chet was a great skater and a wonderful dancer in his day. I always managed a few skates with him.It is sad to drive down Brunswick St and remember the Rutherford house and where the old 99 Brunswick stood. Your family memories will tide you and the family over during this sad time. Sylvia Roy and family

Condolence: To the Rutherford families, immediate and extended...please accept our sincere condolences. Chet is remembered by us as my sister-in-law's (Brenda MacKenzie) uncle. I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Chet at Wynn Park...although he didn't have any memory of me, he was chipper, and had certainly retained his sense of humour. So sorry for your loss. He will be fondly remembered.
