Adeline  (Osborne) DesRoches  (George)
DesRoches, Adeline Una (George) (Osborne) - 89 of Truro, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on the morning of Friday, February 28, 2020.

Born in Upper Whitehead, Guysborough County on August 28, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Abe and Annie (Grover) George.

Adeline was hard worker and worked as a waitress at various locations throughout Nova Scotia, PEI and Ontario, the last being 20 years at the Palliser Restaurant in Truro. She enjoyed life and travelled to many places on her bucket list and as she put it “I’ve completed my bucket list, I can go now.”

Adeline is survived by sons Fred (Mary) Osborne, Williamsburg, ON, Greg (Joyce) Osborne, Bible Hill, Wade Osborne (Mary), Shortt’s Lake; daughter Sheila (Ross) Rankine, Hilden; grandchildren Kim Osborne (Jason), Justin Osborne (Kathy), Tammy Martin (Derek), Gregory Osborne (Kathie), Mathew Osborne, Elliott Osborne (Samantha), Joshua Rankine and Rebecca Rankine, ten great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Paul Osborne (1998) and siblings, Seymour, Al, Minnie, Thelma, Harv, Ed, Percy, Ira, Jeanette, Juanita, Abe and Paul.

Special thanks to the VON and to Angela McDonnell, Palliative Care Nurse for their support during Mom’s illness.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2 from 6-9pm with a funeral service on Tuesday, March 3 at 2pm both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. The Reverend Gary Yetman officiating. Reception to follow. Spring Interment in Christ Church (Anglican) Cemetery, Queensport.
