Olive  Terris
Terris, Olive Mable – age 92, Pictou, formerly of Truro, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2020 in Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou. Born in Noel, Hants Co., she was the youngest of twelve children of the late Robert Osmond and Ruth (Scott) Hill. She is survived by her son, Garry and her granddaughter, Olivia. Olive lived a very active and full life, starting as a teacher and ending her working career as a public accountant. Her passions were her love of animals, politics and Cape Breton Fiddle music. Olive was very active in the Catholic Women’s League, the Provincial and Federal Liberal Party, the SPCA and the East Hants Historical Society. Special thanks to Velma and Jim Sutton for always being there, Rosalie Prest for caring so much, Mum’s special friends, Elaine and Sergio Jenkins, John and all the staff at Fraser’s Pharmacy, Kenda MacCallum and the wonderful staff at CEHHC for their love and care., Catherine McKim, Toni Thompson, Carla Little for all their hard work, compassion and sensitivity, Rhonda Richards, Angela Gaudet and the wonderful and outstanding staff at the Maritime Odd Fellows Home in Pictou, Logan Barnhill for making everything work and being a good friend.
