Groves, Donald Seymour – 80, of Upper Onslow, passed away on June 24, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer

Born in Onslow on April 27, 1940; he was a son of the late Frederick and Ella Mae (Watt) Groves.
Don married Sally (Shearer) and they had two children, daughter Heather and son David. In the early days of his working career, Don did various jobs including truck driver, machine operator, machinist and for the last 45 years he managed and worked at the excavation company he founded in the Truro area, until his health no longer allowed him to.

Don is survived by his wife Sally; daughter, Heather (Dave Carey); son, David; brothers, Lloyd (Marilyn), Shortts Lake, Wayne (Sherry), Onslow, Art (Cheryl), Green Lake, BC; sister Sharon (Cyril), Hilden; sister-in-law Sue; granddaughters, Shelby, Erin and Kayla.

Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by his oldest brother Lee.

The family would like to thank the VON, and Palliative Care, Dr. Henderson and Angela for the care they showed Don during his illness.
