Arthur Brenton Weir – 68, Truro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro surrounded by the presence and love of his family.

Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Carl and Doreen (Armsworthy) Weir.

Art worked as a cook for over 27 years at Meno Ya Win Heath Centre in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. He and his wife relocated back to Truro three years ago. He enjoyed fishing and many times spent camping in the RV. Art will be especially remembered for his kind and loving spirit, his sense of humour and love of everyone.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene; son, Michael (Christy), Vancouver Island; daughter, Susan (Jared) MacDonald, Ontario; stepson, Bryan Zazalak, Moose Jaw, Sask; ten grandchildren; sister, Linda Weir, Truro; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Donna Peters and Mary Anne Weir.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service by request.
