Clarence "Junior"  Works
Clarence Gabriel Works “Junior” – 80, Valley, Colchester Co., passed away July 16, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Born in Truro Heights on October 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Clarence and Gwen “Glennie” (Hughes) Works.

Junior was a truck driver for most of his life, working for Work’s Transfer, Stan Hanes Transport and Day and Ross until his retirement. He was a volunteer member of the Valley – Kemptown and District Fire Brigade. Going for drives and listening to country music was a favourite past time. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Hayward); daughter, Donna (Fred), Onslow; sons, Dana (Debbie), Brentwood, Wendell, Valley, Robert (Michelle), Bay Roberts, NL and Michael (Vanessa), Dartmouth, Steven (Brenda), Onslow; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brothers, Keith, Truro Heights, and Donald, Peterborough, Ont.; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Eileen and Betty; brothers, George, Allan “Bud” and Lloyd.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, July 22 at 2pm in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley with Mr. Alvin Nieforth, officiating. If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
