Obituary for Lynne Murphy (Howe)

Murphy, Lynne Frances – 68. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt – Lynne Frances Murphy. Born in Halifax, currently of Little Dyke Road, Great Village, Nova Scotia, Lynne passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones.
Lynne worked for over 25 years at Canadian Tire where she had a passion for helping others. If you needed something found, Lynne was the woman to see! She enjoyed playing Bingo and could be seen most Saturday mornings at Legends in Truro with her daughter, Aimee. She also liked reading mystery novels and doing jigsaw puzzles. Lynne had a love for the outdoors and her flower gardens brought her great pride and joy. She loved bass fishing in Little Dyke and for many years went flounder fishing in Cheverie with family and friends.
She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. She had an amazing sense of humour and could be seen laughing and joking with co-workers and family. Her winks said it all!
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Adrian Murphy; daughters, Seanna Murphy, Aimee Murphy (Carl); son, Patrick (Jackie); grandchildren, Tanner (Alex), Taylor (Brandon), Codie, Rachel, Mason and Olivia; great grandchildren, Lily, Wyatt, Maverick; siblings, Peggy Adams (Keith), Murray Howe (Jeanette), and Richard Howe; several nieces and nephews.
Lynne was predeceased by her mother, Frances Howe and father, Gordon Howe; brother, Robert Howe.
She was courageous in the face of pain and bravely faced her disease head-on. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Henderson and Angela McDonnell along with all the VON staff for their caring and kindness.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St.,Truro.
