Evelyn Irene  Leeco (McDonald)
Evelyn Irene Leeco – 58, Brookfield, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro surrounded by her loving family. Born in Gaultois, NL, she was a daughter of Amelia (Rose) and the late Benjamin McDonald.

Evelyn was loved and welcomed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Evelyn loved spending her summer days sitting in the garage with Howard and their precious Teeka. In the winter you could find her cuddled up beside the wood stove knitting beautiful blankets to give away to family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and always let each of them know how truly loved they all were.

She is survived by her loving husband, Howard; her mother, Amelia; son, Adrian (Kim) McDonald, Cole Harbour; siblings, Allen (Pam) McDonald, Cole Harbour, Theresa (Gord) Mullins, Gaultois, NL, Suzanne (Kevin) Ablett, Cole Harbour, Amy (Angus) McDonald, St. John’s, NL, Tammy (Jeremy) Maye, Seal Cove, NL, Delores (Carl) Hunt, Orillia, Ont., Adam McDonald, Gaultois, NL; grandchildren, Haileigh, Nathanyel, Matthew and Audrey; great granddaughter, Amelia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her terribly.

She was predeceased by her loving father, Benjamin McDonald, a sister Lillian in infancy; paternal and maternal grandparents.

The family would like to send special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre.

Cremation has taken place. Evelyn’s family will receive visitors ‪on Tuesday, September 1 from 6-8pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, ‪512 Willow St., Truro. Guests must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Interment will take place at a later date in Brookfield Westside Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Family flowers only please.
