Obituary for James "Jim" Hudson

James Cameron “Jim” Hudson – 71, Great Village, passed away October 4, 2020 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary, with his step family by his side.

Jim was a licensed plumber and pipe fitter by trade but over the years was also a truck driver and was pretty much a “jack of all trades” and was not afraid to give anything a try.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Muriel (Thompson) Hudson, his son, Chris.

Jim is survived by his partner and best friend, Lynn McMasters, Great Village; son, James (Trish), Great Village; daughter, Shelby, Truro; step daughter, Tiffany (Bruce); step son, Eric (Samantha); sister, Sharon (Robin) Oliver, Hixon, BC; brothers, David, Truro, George (Betty), Great Village, Glenn (Shannon), Londonderry; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; step grandchildren, Marissa, Mason and Owen.

Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 9 at 2pm commencing with a Royal Canadian Legion Br. 72 Tribute Service in Mahon Cemetery, Great Village. We ask that masks be worn and those who wish may bring a folding chair for their comfort. Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the RCL Br. 72, Great Village, of which he was a proud member or any charity of choice.
