Obituary for Marilyn Croft
Croft, Marilyn Elizabeth – Age 77, Alton, NS.
Some people walk this earth enriching the lives of everyone they touch. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us.
On Saturday, October 3, 2020, Marilyn Elizabeth Croft passed suddenly and yet peacefully at home with her loving husband of 59 years, Richard “Dick” James Croft, by her side. Marilyn was born on June 19, 1943 to the late Lester and Ruby Anne (Watson) Tanner. She was the youngest of ten children.
Marilyn showed gratitude for every day and had a deep appreciation for nature - all creatures great and small. She found peace in the ocean, especially her favourite Queensland Beach and as well, sitting with her chipmunks in her backyard garden.
Marilyn loved hard!! If you were blessed with her love, you knew it without a doubt. She was grateful for time with her many wonderful friends over the years, considering them more like family. She is remembered fondly by her extensive family of siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews, far too numerous to mention. She loved everyone deeply.
Marilyn was a fierce and loving mother hen. Her children, Teri and Kelli; grandchildren, Meaghan, Cody and Abbey and great grandchildren, Landon and Sadie were her world.
Her bright light will continue to shine in the hearts and memories of all who loved her.
In an effort to respect current health safety concerns, as well as Marilyn’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life on the lawn of the family home on a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
