Obituary for Susan Fielding-Mowatt

Susan Fielding-Mowatt
Susan Jacklin Fielding-Mowatt – 70, Bible Hill, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Helen (Henderson) Fielding.

Susan grew up in Bible Hill and enjoyed spending time with lifelong friends on Avon Street. After graduating from Onslow High School, she attended NSIT and became a RT in Laboratory Technology. Her entire career was spent working at the Colchester Regional Hospital, where she met her Lab family and through them met the love of her life, Harry in 1990. Susan and Harry were eventually married in September 1995. She loved pets, the outdoors, hunting, calligraphy and wood carving.

Susan had many friends and could always make them laugh with her stories, jokes and overall sense of humour. Playing cards with Harry and their friends was something Susan genuinely enjoyed as well as spending time with her special cats, Sherman and Quigley. She was a member of Saint John’s Anglican Church, Truro, where she was a part of the Chancel Guild.

Susan is survived by several cousins, Harry’s family; her Lab family as well as many other friends. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry in 2017.

A special thank you to Susan’s special friends who had visited during her time of illness.

A private family funeral service will be held in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, with the Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating.
