Obituary for Fleming Hingley

Fleming Albert Hingley – 84, Salmon River, Colchester Co., passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on October 10, 2020.

Born in Kemptown on March 24, 1936, he was a son of the late William and Susan (McCabe) Hingley.

Fleming was a well driller for over 50 years and ran a well-known business until his retirement in 2001.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, bowling and playing cards with family and friends and had his pilots license for small aircraft and enjoyed flying.

He had a great love of music and would be the first one of the dance floor. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by and sadly missed by his wife, Grace (Gordon) of 49 years; two sons, Tony (Marie) Hingley, Timmy (Andrea) Hingley; six grandchildren, Trinida, Delphean, Immanuel, Rayevan, Merrik and Magnuson; three great grandchildren, Dahlea, Capriah and Jessie; three brothers, Laurie (Carol), Robert (Pat), Ernest (Sylvia); one sister, Maxine (late Charles) Shearer; sisters in law, Sandra (Aird), McIssac, Carol (Art) Faulkner; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Russell, Parker, Preston, Ronnie, Earl; sisters, Marjorie, Anne, Bertha, Muriel, Aileen and Norma.

Fleming requested his body be donated to Dalhousie Medical Science. Respecting his wishes, there will be no Funeral Service but a Graveside Interment will be held at a later time. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the nurses and doctors for their care and support. Donations may be made to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre via www.cehhcfoundation.ca/
