Carrigan, Joan Frances (Molloy) – 94, Truro, passed on Friday, November 6, 2020 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born December 13, 1925 in Aldershot, England to the late James Joseph Molloy and the late Violet Millicent Molloy Young (Morel). Joan was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Joan is survived by her son, Barry James Carrigan (Wanda); grandsons, Ryan Carrigan, James Jennings (Nicole) and David Jennings (Destiny) all of Truro. She is also survived by 15 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Carrigan; the Hutchinson family, many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by stepfather, Josh Young; her first husband, Frank Carrigan; second husband; Donald Fields; her partner, Walter Hutchinson; grandson, Christopher; brothers, George Morel, Francis Young, Alfred Young, David Young and Michael Young. Also predeceased by brothers-in-law, Billy, Donald, Roy, Harold Carrigan and Albert Corbin; sisters-in-law, Shirley Corbin, Carol and Janet Carrigan.

There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at 2 p.m. in the Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Lynda MacCulloch officiating. Family flowers only please. If you wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or charity of your choice.
