Condolence: The Corlett Family: A number of years ago I was working with NS. Public Works on a job in Springhill at the Community College and J.C. were doing the mechanical. The lady Principal was giving John a hard time about getting the job finished. His response was, "If you guys would put out a few more plumbers, we could do it!" Enough said! Another Time I was having trouble finding well water at our Wallace cottage lot. I asked John and he told me where to drill. I did and the problem was solved. He was a great man to work with.

Condolence: I only knew John for about a year but never have forgotten him. It was about 1961 when he dropped into my grade 8 class at West Hill Public School in the east end of Toronto. I think it was his big Cheshire cat smile that attracted myself and 2 other buddies to him. We had a great year, a little mischief along the way, but all harmless stuff. I think it was John's idea to place the egg into our miserable teacher's overshoe but boy, did it ever work well! We re-connected a few years ago with the aid of friends of ours in Truro who knew of him. My wife and I visited with John and Sandra at their home and the following year he visited with us here in our retirement home here in Bobcaygeon. Our condolences to Sandra, and family. John was truly LOVED. Sincerley, Rick
