Condolences

Condolence From: Sandy MacNaughton
Condolence: From all the MacNaughton's. To all the Murph's-- our most heartfelt condolences with Jack's passing. Though he will be missed, be comforted knowing that he is now reunited with wonderful Mary. No doubt he is throwing a few horseshoes around with Rev. Dave and others as well. The Spencer Point memories are abundant. Spooking us at Annie's old house definitely made us kids believe the place was truly haunted for many years after that. I especially enjoyed the many horseshoe 'tournaments' and Jack's swirling throw. It was always good to be on his team as he won a lot. And a Dairy Queen treat was never refused! God bless you all and stay safe, healthy and positive for our collective mental health.

Condolence From: Annette Chiasson
Condolence: Uncle Jack! Our sympathy travelling to you all from Ontario. Thank you to each of you for sharing those wonderful memories of your father, so very eloquently delivered, during the memorial service you made available to all. Just one of many memories of him comes immediately to mind ..while visiting Anne & Gabriel's Farm" one summer, Jack noticed a shy, awkward girl hiding in the next room while everyone gathered for a photo..he noticed & came over, laid a gentle hand on my shoulder and asked "aren't you a member of this family?", with such a warm smile and those twinkly eyes working their magic - that kind invitation to join in worked ..I will always remember his wit, charm and graciousness! Every one of you certainly have carried on those talents (or genes?) honourably. Love, Annette & Jim

Condolence From: Chris Chiasson
Condolence: Hi All, So very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I watched the ceremony and it was so lovely to see all your beautiful faces. Jack was such a remarkable force. He touched everybody he came in contact with, with his strong gentle smile. I hope that he, Mary, Anne and Gabriel are sitting playing a spirited game of bridge, laughing and sharing stories from the past. Sitting locked down in Stratford and hoping to be able to see you sometime in the near future. Lots of love, Chris

Condolence: My sincerest condolences to the wonderful Murphy clan. You have taken such good care of your Dad! As a fellow Spencer’s Pointer my memories go back to when they arrived there, more friends to play with. Vivid memories of those times include when their cottage was brought in and those days that Jack arrived with Dilly Bars for everyone . Such good times over many years. Jack will indeed be missed. With love and prayers to you all.

Condolence From: Jane Karrel
Condolence: Dear Murphy Family, I have so many wonderful childhood memories of growing up in our neighbourhood with your family. As I grew older, I remember waiting to see what your Dad was planting and harvesting. Your dad was patient as I asked about the various sprouts poking through the earth. He inspired me to plant a small garden in our back yard. May the love for your dad and each other comfort you as you honour and reflect upon his legacy. My deepest condolences, Jane Karrel

Condolence: Condolences to all of the Murphys on the passing of your Dad. Many fond memories. I hadn't seen Jack in a while but I will never forget our last conversation. At the time he was living at Parkland on the top of Young Street. He was often seen getting around on his scooter. On this day he was making his way back up Young Street and I was just finishing a bike ride. I pulled along side and we had a great chat as we both made our way to the top of the hill. Condolences to all. Chris and Karen MacDougall
