Kurt  Stephens
Stephens, Kurt Cyril – Age 51, Cole Harbour, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on July 3, 2021. Born on New Year’s Day, January 1st, 1970 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was the first-born son of Cyril Joseph Stephens and Theresa Mary (Paul) Stephens.

As a talented cook, Kurt had the opportunity to cook for large venues at Humber College in Windsor, Ontario and aboard a Global Marine oil-drilling ship in the Gulf of Mexico as lead cook. He was also the Assistant Manager for KFC in Dartmouth and trained many employees Halifax-wide.

Kurt is survived by both of his parents, Cyril Stephens, Cole Harbour and Theresa Stephens (Bernard Savoie), Millbrook; grandmother, Doris Abram, Millbrook, two younger brothers, Vance Stephens, Millbrook and Mark Stephens (Evangeline Dedam), Millbrook; his ex-wife, Peggy (Parks) Stephens, Halifax; his son, Josiah Stephens, Halifax; his three nephews, Cameron Miller, Kluskap Stephens and Kinap Stephens and his two nieces, Trinity Stephens and Raine Stephens.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 9th at 11am in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook First Nation. Immediate family members only will be permitted within the church. We ask for your patience and understanding. COVID 19 restrictions will be in place. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.
