Crawford, Sherwood Filmore M. Eng., P. Eng. – Age 81, Truro, NS, passed away on Saturday morning, July 15, 2021. Born in Hodgdon, Maine, USA on June 8, 1940, he was a son of the late C. Lloyd and Laversa (Wright) Crawford.

Sherwood graduated from The Technical University of Nova Scotia in 1964 and was a practicing engineer for over 50 years. He started his career in Ontario, then returned to Nova Scotia where he started Eastern Canadian Structures Ltd. (a construction company) in 1974. He sold his business and retired in 2020. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming and traveling.

Sherwood is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Karen Elizabeth (Fletcher); brothers, Gordon (Mary), Scotch Village, NS, Archie (Sarah), Woodstock, NB and Charles (Susan), Woodstock, NB; sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Munroe, Nackawic, NB and Loretta (Larry) Bell, Belleville, NB; sons, Thomas Crawford, East Mines and Jeffrey (Sue Ann and son, Cole) Crawford, Bass River and daughter, Tamara Crawford, Truro, as well as special family member, Kathy.

Besides his parents, Sherwood was pre-deceased by brothers, Robert, James, Allison and Paul.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, NS. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. in Economy Cemetery, 3600 Trunk 2, Economy, NS with Pastor David Way officiating. All are welcome.
