John Leo Fleet - 83, Windsor, Hants Co., passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 in QEII- Halifax Infirmary.

Born in Ecum Secum on November 18, 1937, he was a son of the late Basil and Melissa “Lissie” (Publicover) Fleet.

John worked for many years as cemetery groundskeeper for the Town of Windsor and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 9. Watching wrestling on TV was one of John’s favourite pastimes – he never missed a match!

John was well liked by all whom knew him and will be especially missed by his cat, Barney.

He is survived by loving wife, Barbara Lunn, Windsor; son, Eddie (Amanda), Falmouth; many nieces and nephews as well as many members of the Lunn family.

John was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Donald, Eric and Vincent in infancy.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 17 at 2pm in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor with Cory Lunn officiating. If so desired, donations may be made to the RCL Branch #9, Windsor. Arrangements entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro.
