Blenkhorn, Carole Joyce – Age 86, Salmon River, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, NS. Born in Alton, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Jessie (Lindsay) Boomer.
Carole enjoyed sewing, cooking, going to the cottage in Marshville and in her younger years, she love to attend dances. She also worked as a receptionist at the Truro Medical Centre. She loved family time and whenever she could, she would take the children berry picking, coasting and camping.
She is survived by her daughters, Deanna Densmore, Salmon River and Susan Lynds, Valley; son, Mark (Debbie), Salmon River; grandchildren, Andrew Sibley, Jennifer Sibley, Matthew Lynds and Blair Lynds; great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Carole was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; sisters, Ruth, Maxine, Pauline and Fern; brothers, Elwood, Lindsey and Leland.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21st at 1pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS with Rev. Gary MacDougall officiating. COVID-19 restrictions will be in place. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
