A graduate of the Maritime Forest Ranger School and the Nova Scotia Land Survey Institute, Art had a varied career, ranging from forestry, land surveying and hydrometric surveying with Environment Canada. He especially enjoyed his work of 32 years with the Inland Waters Survey Branch of Environment Canada. During his retirement years, he was a proud member of the “River Waders”.

Also survived by grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) and Michael (Amber), Lawrencetown. Predeceased by special cousins, Hazel, Jerome and Wilbur Gilmore.
