Condolence From: Trevor Dalgleish
Condolence: Trevor and I shared two things: a first name and an employer. I worked at The Department of Natural Resources for 25 years.
From 1986 until my retirement in 2000 I worked at DNR’s head office in Halifax, Land Services Division, Land Acquisition section.

Some of the lands acquired by the Province were for Park’s purposes. When acquiring lands for Parks purposes we sought the input of the Parks Division staff.

It was in the late 1980’s when I first met Trevor. From then on we would greet each other with a “high Trevor high Trevor- I can’t remember who made the comment but one of us said after greeting each other “ it sounds like an echo in here”.

I always found Trevor to be a gracious, bright, caring compassionate individual. He believed deeply in his work at the Parks Division. Because of his dedication with regards to Parks planning he leaves a wonderful legacy that can be enjoyed by Nova Scotians and visitors to N.S. for many years to come.

I currently live in Wolfville N.S.. Whenever I hike to Cape Split I am reminded of Trevor and his work. At the start of the Cape Split Trail is large well designed parking lot. Prior to the parking lot being built people had to park along the access road. Thanks to Trevor’s vision and imagination hikers can now easily and safely access the Cape Split hiking trail.

Thank you Trevor your efforts are much appreciated.

It was a privilege and an honour to have known Trevor- he was a true “gentleman” and a darn fine human being.
