Obituary for Richard Faulkner
Faulkner, Richard Aubrey - Age 75, of Hilden, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2022, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born on February 5, 1947, in Windsor, he was a son of the late Everett and Irene (Peach) Faulkner.
Those surviving Richard are his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley (Dalrymple); son, Jason (Nicole); daughter, Sheri Lynn; grandson, Nicholas; grand-furbabies, Meeghan and Kaiden; brother, Jim (Iris) Faulkner; sister, Mildred Flynn; sister in-law, Emma Faulkner; brother in-laws, Garnet (Sharon) Dalrymple, Derrick Procyshyn; sister in-law, Jane (Stan) Jickling and several cherished nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by his stepmother, Pauline (Salter) Faulkner; brother, Vern Faulkner; brother in-law, Ervin Flynn; sister in-law, Kathy Procyshyn; parents in-law Melvin Dalrymple, Dorothy and Leonard Henderson.
Richard was an autobody man for over 50 years. He loved old cars and trucks, which showed when he fully restored his 1966 Chevy truck. Richard was a kind and gentle soul who always put his family and friends first. Anyone who met him loved him. He loved telling the same jokes to anyone who would listen, and most had heard them a million times but would still laugh. Richard took great pride in watching his favourite goalie, grandson Nick, play hockey every winter. He also enjoyed Friday night card games with the boys.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the wonderful, kind and compassionate nurses and doctors of the D3 unit at CEHHC.
