Obituary for Tony Walsh
Walsh, Peter Anthony "Tony" – Age 35, Crowes Mills, Belmont.
On August 23, 2019, Tony was taken from us. It left many unanswered questions until June 17, 2022. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we are writing his obituary.
Tony loved to cook, draw, make chocolates and was always with his best buddy, Memphis. He also loved his car - a rare Chrysler Sebring, even when the horn would randomly start honking and not stop until he disconnected the battery. Tony was known to be generous, caring and was "liked by everyone". This has been repeated so many times. His smirk and the "crazy Tony stories" will always be remembered and shared by his great group of friends and family who meant so much to him.
Tony was born to Susan Robben and Peter Walsh (Rhoda Walsh) in March of 1984. Tony grew up in Crowes Mills with his mom and sister, Sara Walsh Turner (Simon). He lived in Alberta and Ontario for many years before moving back home in Christmas of 2017 to be closer to his family. Tony spent time with his daughter, Madeline (Hayley Chiasson); half brother, Curtis Shearer; nephew, Dakota Turner and niece, Ryslin Turner.
Tony was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Dave and Jantje Barrett, Jake and Shirley Robben and his paternal grandfathers, Ron Walsh and Don McDougall.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crimes for their dedication and time to get us the answers we all deserve, to the Colchester Community Funeral home for their compassion, support and guidance during this difficult time, to the community, fire halls, the Debert Hospitality Center, Kohltec, the Debert & Area Community Association, as well as Colchester Signs & Promo for everything they have done to promote awareness for Tony.
The Robben, Barrett and Walsh family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Tony in The Peg- Masstown Market on August 23, 2022, from 1:00 - 4:00pm. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
