Richards, James "Jim" Edward - Age 83, Stewiacke, died in his sleep on September 1, 2022, in Braeside Home, Middle Musquodoboit. Born on June 26, 1939, in Marinette, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late John and Sadie (Hartling) Richards.

Jim is survived by his wife, Emma (Robertson) of 42 years; his children, Randy, John, Shari, Melissa, and James, who are scattered across the country; his siblings Roger, Linda, and Marion; and grandchildren Robert, Logan, Jericho, in addition to others.

Jim was a long-haul truck driver, running Newfoundland to Quebec, with some trips stateside and into Ontario. He loved hunting and fishing, and car races on TV. He loved animals and recently said goodbye to his 14-year-old cocker spaniel, Hope, and his 17-year-old black cat, Maggie May.

Always cracking a joke, even in the darkest of circumstances, his absence will be felt by many.

A huge thank you to the VON, Red Cross, and the wonderful staff at Braeside Home. You were all so very good to him.
