Obituary for Greta Warner (Stevens)

Warner, Greta Marie – Debert, passed away on September 16, 2022, at the age of 77. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Grace Stevens and grew up on her father’s dairy farm in Debert. Greta spent her working career as a secretary and retired December 31, 2000, from Patterson Law.

Greta is survived by her husband of 42 years, Carl Albert Warner; stepdaughters, Janice (Alfred) MacArthur, Moncton, and Julie (Ron) Healey, Bible Hill; six step-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Carol (Aubrey) Fisher, Southington, CT, Lexie Loseth, Lister, BC; brother, Curtis (Lois) Stevens, Calgary, AB; nephew, Michael (Sherri) Fisher and their children, Grace and Matthew, all of Rocky Hill, CT.

Besides her parents, Greta was predeceased by her niece, Nancy Fisher and brother-in-law, Edwin Loseth.

Greta very much enjoyed snowmobiling and camping. She and Carl spent time every year for 35 years at their favourite camping spot, Keji National Park. She also enjoyed her trips to New England, California, Europe and across Canada.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. In keeping with Greta’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
