After a long, full life, in her 91st year, Dolores Alice (Ryan) Cox passed away peacefully on October 28,2022, in Debert Court. Alice was born in Truro on February 9, 1931.

She was predeceased by her father, Arthur Lawerance Ryan; stepmother, Dorothy Ryan; mother, Mona Koppell Ryan-Massey; stepfather, Harold Massey; her brothers, Bob and Gordie Ryan; sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Hazel and her oldest son, Larry Cox.

Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a cherished presence at family gatherings and especially loved time at the cottage at King’s Rest with family. Alice also enjoyed travelling having made trips to various parts of our province as well as trips to Newfoundland, the United States, and out west. Her last big trip out west to attend the wedding of her grandson, Josh was one she spoke of often and treasured dearly. Alice loved to dance. She and Dave attended many dances and musical events throughout their lives. Alice was a member of Bass River UCW, TOPS and the Bass River Heritage Society. Alice’s love for her family was forever evident. Birthday cards for each was a necessity and visits from the grandchildren were cherished.

Alice is survived by her husband, Dave, to whom she was married for 67 years; sister, Edith Ann Fraser (Charlie); daughter, Wendy (Donald Cooke) and sons, Bruce (Erma) and David (Shawn) Cox. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Debert Court for the kindness shown to our mother during her stay with them.
