Obituary for Deborah Legere

Deborah Legere
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Deborah Marie Legere (Lake), of Onslow Mountain, formerly of Fox River, on November 20,2022. Debbie was born on July 14, 1962.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steven; children, Jenny (Justin) and Amy (Tyler); sisters, Carol-Anne, Dorothy, Evelyn (Sid), Josephine (Dave), Carol (John) and Margaret; brothers, Sid, Gus, David (Janette) and Andrew (Angie). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Isaiah, Nikole, Sariah and Alyvia; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, William; her mother, Margaret and her brother, Wayne.

She was an early childhood educator, where she loved working with children and it was truly a fulfilling career for her.

Debbie was born in Wellington Station, but she grew up in Fox River, where she loved to play outside with her siblings and often went to the beach, which was only seconds from her home. She always found the ocean to be peaceful and returned there frequently after moving to Truro. She was known to be friendly, kind and funny. There weren’t many places Debbie went where someone wouldn’t recognize her. She was hard working, an amazing mother and wife. She was greatly loved and adored by her grandchildren. She loved her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who she put her complete hope and faith in. Debbie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in Faith Baptist Church in Great Village, on Sunday, November 27th at 2pm. A reception will follow the service.
