Barbara Jean Blackmore- 71, Milford. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in Windsor, Ontario, Barb was the daughter of the late Jack and Peggy (Gerard) France.

She worked for the Shubenacadie/Stewiacke Pharmacy for 43 years before retiring. Barb was an avid lover of old movies and music. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and her dogs, Maggie and Jack. Family was very important to Barb and she enjoyed family gatherings.

Barb was the beloved wife of David, and loving mother of Janine and David Scott (Tim). She is also survived by her siblings, Jacqueline, Debbie (Ross), Caroline, Robert; grandchildren, James (Shayna), Kaitlyn (Kyle), Jordan (Megan) and great- grandchildren Aiden, Mackenzie, Ryan and Owen also many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Bill.

The family would like to thank everyone at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, 2 East, for the compassion and care that was given to Barb during her lengthy stay.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9th from 12pm until the time of the service at 2pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.
