Ellis, Brenda Lynn - On July 6, 2023, we lost one of the strongest women we know. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, nanny and a very dear friend.

Mom was born in Truro and had the pleasure of growing up training and racing horses. She had the biggest heart when it came to taking care of all her fur babies. Her biggest worry was making sure all her babies and fur babies were fed before she was. That was just the selfless woman she was. She made sure everyone in her life came before she did with no complaints. Her laugh was so contagious you couldn’t help but smile every time you heard it. Mom had many dear friends with whom she reconnected through the years and more recent ones that she made while working this past year, they will always hold a special place in her heart.

Mom will forever be remembered for being the most thoughtful, most outspoken, caring person that she was, for always going overboard on holidays and birthdays, making sure everyone around her felt love on their special days, for always making every special occasion a one to remember, for her love of pasta and pizza and the way she always made sure everyone had more than enough.

Mom loved her children and her partner, Russell, whom she spent the last 30 years by each other’s side, more than anything.
Mom’s wishes were to not have a funeral, instead we will be holding a private celebration of life in honour of her.
